Logistic Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the Logistic Manager is responsible for end-to-end supply chain and logistics management for NVD Fresh Produce’s greenhouse operations. Core focus on optimising distribution processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of fresh produce, managing inventory and aligning logistics operations with the company’s expansion, sustainability and production goals. This role collaborates closely with the Sales Manager, Plantation team and external logistics partners to maintain a seamless supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
· Design, implement and optimise distribution and logistics processes to ensure consistent, timely and high-quality delivery of fresh produce to customers.
· Manage inventory levels of harvested produce, coordinating with the Plantation Manager to align logistics with production output and sales forecasts.
· Oversee the maintenance and operation of logistics-related equipment and facilities; coordinate with the Maintenance team for timely repairs and upkeep.
· Source and manage relationships with external logistics contractors (e.g., transport, warehousing) to ensure cost efficiency and service quality.
· Analyse logistics costs (transport, storage, handling) and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.
· Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for logistics disruptions (e.g., seasonal changes, transport delays, market volatility).
· Prepare logistics performance reports, track KPIs (on-time delivery, wastage in transit, logistics cost ratio) and report to senior management.
· Ensure compliance with agricultural and transport regulations related to the distribution of fresh produce in WA.

Logistic Manager
Qualification, Experience & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
· Minimum 3 years of logistics/supply chain management experience, preferably in the fresh produce, horticulture or food industry (experience with perishable goods distribution highly desirable).
· Strong understanding of supply chain optimisation, inventory management and distribution networks in Western Australia.
· Ability to assess and improve logistics infrastructure, workflows and processes to support the company’s land and production expansion.
· Proficiency in data analysis to track logistics performance and identify improvement opportunities.
· Excellent organisational, problem-solving and project management skills to manage multiple logistics priorities.
· Strong communication and liaison skills to work with internal teams (sales, plantation, corporate services) and external contractors.
· Knowledge of agricultural, transport and food safety regulations relevant to fresh produce logistics in Australia.
